EVENT CATERING TERMS & CONSIDERATIONS
GUEST MINIMUMS: The Grove reserves the right to set a minimum guest count per menu or event. Minimums, menu prices, and other services or products are subject to change without notice based on availability, resources, and market prices (e.g., beef, poultry, fuel).
MENU CREATION FEE: We are delighted to cater to all dietary preferences and restrictions. Our team has crafted hundreds of menus over the years. To accommodate the time invested in creating a seasonal menu that matches your preferences, we charge a one-time $150 menu creation fee.
PRICING: Once the contract is signed and the deposit is received, contract pricing is locked in for the remainder of the calendar year. If your event is scheduled for the next calendar year, your menu pricing may be subject to a maximum increase of 10%.
RENTALS: Venue setup, including rental equipment and centerpieces, is available as an additional service. Rates vary based on the extent of setup and can be discussed with our Event Coordinator. If your event includes rental equipment (e.g., tables, chairs, linens), a delivery and pickup fee will apply.
REFUNDS: While we value client feedback, we do not offer refunds for any part of our catering services.
DEPOSIT: To confirm your booking, The Grove requires a 15% deposit. The remaining balance is due five (5) days before the event date.
MODIFICATIONS: We are happy to make adjustments to ensure the best experience. Please reach out to hello@thegrovefelton.com with any menu or guest count changes. However, we ask that both the guest count and menu remain stable during the final week before your event.
CANCELLATION: If you cancel within 20 days of signing the estimate, your deposit will be refunded minus a 15% handling fee. After 20 days from signing, the entire deposit is non-refundable. For events canceled within seven days of the booked date, the full event balance is due.
LIABILITY: The Grove reserves the right to inspect and control all functions.
Waiver of Liability: The client agrees to irrevocably release The Grove from liability for any claims arising out of any loss, damage, illness, or injury sustained by any participant related to food, services, or rental items not directly provided by The Grove.
MISCELLANEOUS:
Cake Scoring & Plating Service: $50 fee, waived for events with 150+ attendees.
Delivery/Fuel Fee: A delivery fee applies for events located over 40 miles round trip from our venue, starting at $25.
